The Opener Is Only One Part of the System
A Merlin motor can appear to be the problem when the door itself is heavy, poorly balanced, obstructed or not tracking correctly. I inspect the opener together with the door, springs, tracks, cables, rollers and safety operation as relevant. That avoids replacing a motor before the mechanical cause has been understood.
