What Usually Goes Wrong With A Roller Door
The most common call is a roller door that's come off its track, usually after something knocks it — a car reversing too close, or the chain mechanism slipping out of alignment over time. A door that's stuck halfway is often the curtain jamming in the guide rails rather than a motor fault. Grinding or rattling that's new is usually the roller mechanism wearing, which is straightforward to fix if it's caught before the whole curtain jams.
If Your Roller Door Has Come Off Its Track
Don't try to force it back on yourself. Roller doors are heavier than they look, and a curtain that's come loose from the chain can drop unexpectedly.
